parents like us…aka our generation's struggles to parent (and live) with both empathy and boundaries

I mostly love raising my weird and delightful children in the midst of my own midlife bullshit/self-discovery adventures. I would choose no other life, but it can be hard.

You see...

I want my kids to be themselves

but also listen to me

and to choose their own path freely

but to not offend others

or annoy their teachers

and also dance like no one's watching

and think outside the box!

and to respect all the boundaries, of course

but also ALWAYS be themselves
