A pleasant to-do list

What’s your normal routine?

Speaking of routines, I know it’s easy to have some things fall off. Summer comes, you or someone in your family gets sick, a caregiver goes on vacation and, poof, that nice thing you'd ingeniously worked into your life is now gone.

Anyway, in case you need a reminder of some very simple things to do for yourself, here’s a list.

  • Mind: Take a walk. Alone. Listen to nothing. Speak to no one. Can your mind rest without external stimuli?

  • Body: Spend ten breath cycles (or more) in this position to relax your body and soothe your nervous system.

  • Spirit: Read this poem. (Now seems like a good time to make the confession - I like poetry). If you were The "You" in the poem, where would you be going? What would you be doing?

Okay. That’s it. Remember, just pick one and see what shifts. You are so productive.
